Hi everyone, here is the first part of the tutorial showing how to make the Toblerone Sewing Case.
You will first need the materials list that I put on my other blog
You will also need the free pattern for the Parasol.

Before you start take a look at the photos below.
Cut three pieces of mount board measuring
16cm x 6cm - these are for the external sides.
Cut three pieces of mount board measuring
14.8cm x 4.8cm - these are for the internal pieces
that will be covered with the cross stitched piece and the fabric.
Stitched cross stitched Parasol
Two pieces of fabric cut 1.5 cm larger than the internal boards.
Two strips of fabric to cover the spaces (see photo below)
Piece of fabric measuring 9cm x 7cm , this is the part covered with lace to use as the scissor holder.
8cm length of lace for trim, wide enough to fold over the top.
You will need to attach lightweight iron on interfacing (Pellon) to this piece of fabric.
Leaving the space in between allows for ease when the case closes.
You will also need the free pattern for the Parasol.

At this point you can press the fabric down with a dry iron.
